Holiday Reading Report
On our final week at school the year seven and eight got told to read three novels over the holidays so we can get better on our reading. We choose one Duffy book, one library book and one other random book. We had to do activities with our novels like take a picture, draw a cover photo or dress yourself like a character in the book.
In the holidays I read the Fantastic Mr. Fox. The main character in this book is Mr. Fox so I wanted to rewrite the start of the story. I rewrote the start of the story and made it interesting and exciting, because besides Mrs. Fox, Mr. Fox is the main character.
My second book that I read is called Planet of Bones. This book is set on an alien planet and I wanted to rewrite the ending because it was a sad ending. So I rewrote the ending and made a very happy ending.
I didn’t get to read my third book. If I had read it my book would be called The Capture. I would do the activity that would make a new cover design.
The holiday reading challenge was very interesting because I really enjoyed reading the books. I also enjoyed doing the activities. I completed two activities and I put them up on my blog.
I like reading Fantastic Mr Fox too. I remember reading it at school myself. Its a funny book Mr Fox is so cheeky. How did you rewrite some of the story to make it more interesting and exciting?
