WHAT: Five out of eight staff at the Mangere Budgeting Service will lose their job at the end of this month.
WHY or HOW it happened: It happened because of a funding cut. Chief executive Darryl Evans said the service received $45,000 when an extra $1.5 million for budgeting service in last month’s budget was allocated to individual services yesterday. However this was $55,000 short of the $100,000 that was received in the last round.
