Sure you have.

Remember that time when you were running

and you didn’t drink any water

and your mouth was dry

and you flopped right down on the ground?

Remember how the water felt in your mouth

dribbling all over your face?

That was summer.

Have you ever touched summer?

Sure you have.

Remember when you were playing touch

and you were tired of chasing the opposition or doing nothing much

and it was burning your body

and you wanted to sleep and you started to lay down on the ground.

Remember how the grass felt like pillows

lying there forever?

Have you ever smelled summer?

Sure you have.

Remember when you were playing golf

and it took you so long to try and hit the ball into the hole

and you were trying hard  to hit the ball in the hole.

Remember how the grass smelled like it got burnt by the sun?

Sure you have.

Remember when you were playing basketball

and you were trying to shoot the ball into the hoop

and it was very hard to try and get it into the hoop

and you were sweating a lot.

but the pool was so cold?

because the water was freezing.
